Marking the 40th anniversary of the martyrdom of the Palestinian writer, artist and leader, Comrade Ghassan Kanafani, the Ghassan Kanafani Kindergarten in Beddawi camp in Lebanon held an art exhibition from June 28-July 2, featuring the art of children in the camp.

The exhibition was opened with the participation of the resistance factions, Palestinian popular committees, and many comrades and leaders of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the camp and in northern Lebanon, as well as many parents and students at the kindergarten.

The Director of the Kindergarten, Ms. Samira Al Yousuf, gave a speech recalling Kanafani’s accomplishments as an activist, artist, writer and novelist, saying that his words are etched in the memory of generations, reflecting the conscience of the Palestinian people and their attachment to their stolen homeland. The Ghassan Kanafani Cultural Foundation in Beddawi camp also organized a symbolic march to lay wreaths on the tombs of martyrs in Beddawi camp, leading off from the Kindergarten through the streets of the camp to the martyrs’ ceremony, where Comrade Fathi Abu Ali spoke, thanking all for participating and emphasizing that the true march, to Palestine and return, continues, with great honour to all who fell along that path and fought and died – Ghassan Kanafani, and all the martyrs of our people.
